PEACE LOVE AND UNITY

Don't you blink when I shake hands with you. You don't know what these damn hands can do.

Angels descended from the heaven, like raindrops fallen from the sky.

After reading this post, you may testify that I have gone off the bonkers. I'll have you know, crazy is in the eye of the beholder. Sticks and stones cannot break my bones because I know you love me, whoever you are. You do, love me, you know?

**********

Last night, while I was sleeping, I dreamt of a man with lifeless eyes, his teeth too much like fangs and his grin was nothing like a smile.

"In my hands, many have died. And one day, I will be your taker, child."

He paused, his eyes grew softer. Then, he crouched down and his grin appeared warmer.

"Still, we've got some times. Sit you down, child, and I will tell you about the time when the angels fell from the sky.

First, let me make it clear to you, child. Angels were created with one purpose, the purpose to love and to serve all without condition. That, and only that, was their purpose.

The conflict began when God created man and called upon all of his angelic forces to bow before his new creation. Lucifer, who outgrew his post as highest of the Seraphim and chief of Angels, found this too humbling by far and refused to debase himself in this manner and duly asked if

/"a son of fire should be forced to bow before a son of clay?"/

No one truly knows how many angels were actually engaged in the war of Heaven and the exact number of the fallen.

However, in the 15th century, it was estimated that 133,306,668 angels fell from the Heavens in a total of 9 days according to the Bishop of Tusculum and this was reaffirmed by Alphonso de Spina."

He looked at me with a real smile, now. You know, the kind that reflected out from his eyes?

"You have it all wrong, Child. Lucifer, the devil that he was, is not The Satan. They are two different entities. I dare you to check The Book."

The man? The boy? He. He got up, reaper in hand – (now, where did that come from?) – and pull the hood of his cloak – (again, I swear he didn't have one when he came in.) – over his head.

"Now, you must rise, it is morning. Be good, dear child. 'Till we meet again. When it's your time, I promise you, quick and no pain."

I think I saw jester smile. Since I knew of Death, all I ever wanted is to exit quick and painless.

He winked at me with bottomless dark eyes.

...

I woke up in ecstasy, today is the first day of the rest of my life.

************

It was sort of strange. I thought Death would look much older. He actually looked kind of hot, in an emo-goth-boy kind of way.

I remember reading somewhere that angels would appear in the form that is best for us.

And I thought, well, maybe Death is an angel, too?

Wait.a.holy.minute.here. *something clicks inside my brain and it hits like a brick*

OF COURSE, HE IS. Hello?? The Angel of Death!!

I think I should enroll myself in Bible Study Group or something. It will be interesting if what he said was true. That is, if I interpreted The Book correctly.

For whatever reason. The geeky inner Catholic Schoolgirl in me want to have fun today.
